Known for a long time as the separate Leány and Legény caves, the passages are now part of the Ariadne cave system, Hungary’s third longest and fourth deepest cave. Starting from the popular starting point of the Pilis hiking trails, Klastrompuszta, they are easy to find by following the red and blue cave signs. The blue sign will lead you to the entrance of the Legény cave, and there is an information board below the steep climb to help you find it. Its counterpart, the Girl’s Cave, opens up to the north, about 50 metres away. The larger and more spectacular of the two entrances is the former Legény cave, also known as the Chlapec cave by the Slovak nationalities living in the area. The entrance to the Girl’s Cave is much smaller than its counterpart, but it is all the more exciting to look around.
