Happy Elisabeth Lookout - Ister-Granum
Pilisszentkereszt

On the 756-metre-high Pilis Hill, at the highest point of the Transdanubian Mountains, stands the 17-metre-high Boldog Özséb Lookout. The original building is surrounded by a wooden staircase leading up to the top, and the walls of the lookout are made up of vertical wooden stalks. The panoramic view of the Pilis peak gradually opens up for those climbing up the lookout. The lookout was named after the canon of Esztergom, Blessed Ozséb, who founded the only Hungarian male monastic order, the Palatine order, in the 13th century, by gathering hermits from the region.
