Muzla (Muzsla)

Our vineyard and cellar are located in Muzsla, just seven kilometres northwest of Esztergom. This area, situated in the geographical centre of a triangle enclosed by the Garam and the Danube, offers a microclimate that is extremely favourable for quality wine grapes. It is the region with the warmest climate in the Highlands, with vineyards at 230 metres above sea level. Thanks to the composition of the soil, Muzla wines have a high acidity and mineral content and can be matured for a long time. The steep hillside faces south, which allows the sun to shine from morning to evening, ripening the grapes beautifully. We have only 1 hectare of vineyards, with 3 hectares recently planted. We have a high yield limitation. As a capital we do not strive for quantity but rather for quality. Our white wines are made using a reductive process, with controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and our red wines are aged in wooden barrels. We work without enzymes, additives and yeasts, and only 4,500 bottles of wine are produced each year. We also have a family wine cellar for up to 18 guests, where we offer small quantities of wine specialities that are not sold. In our family cellar you can only make wine with heart and soul, with commitment.
