Bielovce (Ipolybél)

Bielovce (Ipolybél)

Driving along the main street of the village along the Ipoly River, you will immediately notice the two-towered castle. Although the neo-Gothic Csécsy-Nagy Castle is not open to visitors today, it is worth stopping to admire the unique building and its park. The famous Szeszler distillery once operated in the manor house behind the castle. Among its monuments, the Reformed and Catholic churches of Ipolybél can be seen as you continue along the main road. In Ipolybiel, a small village in the district of Levé, people take care of what is theirs, as they have lost so much – as their World War I and II memorials show. The banks of the Ipoly River are beautiful and suitable for hiking, fishing, swimming or even water tours, as the wooded river is an excellent water tour for canoeists and kayakers alike.
