Between Tinnye and Piliscsaba we find the Garancsi lake in a somewhat secluded place. It is a popular hiking spot; it offers excellent routes for easy walks. The Garancsi lake is not only popular for its natural beauty, but also because it was the location of the film “Üvegtigris” (The Tiger with the horns). The lake is the only natural standing water in the area, covering only 2-3 hectares. A walking trail around the lake is signposted with information about the flora and fauna of the area. There are also beautifully designed picnic areas.
