When it’s hot, the Danube open-air beach is a must, with its fine pebbles and shallow shore, perfect for swimming. The one-and-a-half kilometre-long shore is a favourite spot for bathers, camping and fishing in the shade of the cool trees. The abundance of mussels in the river is a sign of the water’s purity. The waters of the Danube are steadily deepening. The river’s deepest point here is 3.5 metres and its width is 600 metres.
