The shopping community is an innovative way of accessing local products, combining conscious consumer demand with the capacity of local producers and organising the delivery of products for 1-2 hours, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The purchasing and distribution sessions also provide an opportunity to meet the producers, a direct relationship that is important in this essentially trust-based initiative.
