From Nagybörzsöny on the western edge of the Börzsöny, known for its medieval churches and water mills, we start to one of the most popular peaks of the mountain range, the Nagy-Hideg hill. Our route is interspersed with beautiful viewpoints, wild brook valleys and fabulous beech forests, while a friendly tourist hut awaits hikers under the grassy heights of Nagy-Hideg (Great-Cold) Hill, which offer fantastic panoramic views. Passing through the romantic valley of the Börzsönyi stream, we return to the village via the Kis-Hideg hill, passing Bányapuszta.
