The church of St. Stephen the King was consecrated on Whit Monday in 1938 among the Catholic faithful of Lábatlan. In 1940, a statue of King Stephen of Mátra was placed on a proportionally sized base on the left side of the church gate. He wears a Holy Crown on his head, a cross and an apple in his hands, a cross on his necklace and clothing, a sword on his belt and shields on his feet. The one at the right foot is very complex in meaning, while the one on the left is banded with lions, indicating the age of the king. The year of the dedication is inscribed on the shield and on a marble plaque placed afterwards. These can be seen in a photograph between the photos. The name of the creator is shown below the statue in a photograph marked as an addendum between the photos. The year is 1938. The photo was taken in front of the church, its wall part is visible.
