In 1996 the local history museum and country house of Nyergesújfalu was opened according to the will of the famous Nyergesi painter János Nyergesi. The local history section presents the material and written memories of the settlement from the Stone Age to the present day. In the upstairs studio you can see paintings, sculptures and other relics of the work of János Nyergesi and István Nyergesi.
