The area surrounding the settlement is mostly agricultural land and to a lesser extent forested. Its vineyards are well known and respected in the area, and its farmers produce excellent wines. The wine cellars are often occupied by the winegrowers themselves. The vineyards and their charming cellars are well worth a visit.
