Trianon canal (Ipoly delta) - Ister-Granum

Trianon canal (Ipoly delta)

Letkés

In 1943, a section of about one and a half kilometres was completed on the outskirts of Letkés, which locals call the New Ipoly/Ipe¾ , while other sources call it the “Trianon Canal”. This was intended to regulate and straighten the river, as the old riverbed was very winding. The war put an end to these plans, and this artificial estuary remains as a memory for the pleasure of anglers. The fish stock is very nice and healthy, and thanks to the cold springs, there are catches even on hot summer days. Fish: carp, amur, perch, bream, bream, crucian carp
