For decades – 80-90 years – a spring has been running in the Annavölgy area, which for a long time served only as a drinking place for forest animals. In 2020, the local government, with the help of the Mining Heritage Club and with the financial support of the Dorog Coal Basin Culture Foundation, decided to turn the spring and its surroundings into a memorial place, a cultural and community-building recreation area.The spring was named after Vilmos Zsigmondy, a mining engineer who was the founder and promoter of the drilling of artesian wells in Hungary.
