Strekov 1075

Our winery is named after the first written record of Kürt – 1075, a year that symbolises our attachment to the past and our commitment to the old viticultural and oenological practices.We have 12 hectares of natural farming, 5 of which are under vine. We grow mainly Carpathian Basin varieties typical of the area. We only process grapes of BIO quality from our own land. Our wines are made spontaneously, in barrels or with open vat fermentation. We achieve the unique character of our wines by long maceration on the lees without adding sulphur and by fermentation under lees, with the white wines fermented on the skins. Using these old winemaking techniques, we feel that our wines are refreshing in today’s world of harsh wines with their restrained character.
