The Dera Creek Gorge Valley, which is of significant natural value both geologically and geomorphologically. The geological value of the gorge is mainly due to the fact that the steep walls of the valley carved out by the stream reveal the thick beds of the Dachstein limestone formation, which formed during the Triassic period of the Middle Ages. The rocks of this formation build up the dominant parts of the Pilis Mountains, but also play a very important role in the structure of the Transdanubian Massif as a whole. In the gorge, a geological and botanical trail shows the basic features of this particular rock. The footpath through the gorge is romantic with its wooden bridges, while the path along the ridge is an adventurous walk with its cliffs and steep gorges.
