The Julianus Lookout, standing on the 482-metre-high peak of the Hegyes-tetõ, offers an unparalleled panorama of the Danube, the Visegrád Hills and the Börzsöny, with benches and tables at its foot. The Julianus Lookout, almost 15 metres high and reminiscent of a medieval bastion, is a visual and stylistic response to the Visegrád Castle on the other side of the Danube. The lookout has been renovated in two stages by the Ipoly Forest Ltd. and the forestry of Nagymaros, and a covered room has been created in the middle level to shelter from the wind and rain. The spiral staircase is very steep and narrow. Named after the monk who explored Asia after our ancestors, the two-storey lookout tower, which resembles a bastion, was built in 1938 on the top of the hill by the long-established Encian Tourist Association. The lookout is linked to Törökmezõ by the Törökmezõ nature trail.
