Built in the late 1700s, the Calvary is a nationally renowned and rare work of art. Time and war damage have left it in need of restoration, and in 2003 the niches housing the Passion scene, the body of Christ, were burnt. Attila Fekete, stone sculptor and restoration artist, carried out the work with great care and professionalism, to a commendable standard. The pictures of the stasis were not preserved, so new ones had to be made. To make them timeless, the scenes were made of modern resin.
