Cellar row - Iszomfalva "Village of Drinking"

Kamenín (Kéménd)

It is a rarity to find a cellar row that preserves its image of a hundred years ago not only in its individual segments, but also in its street plans. The village of Drinking in Kamenín is not what it once was, but it is one of the few wine villages in southern Slovakia where the original conditions still remain. The core of the cellar row, the streetscape around the former priest’s cellar, is the best preserved of the original state: the lower and upper rows are full of the typical whitewashed houses with blue stripes on the bottom, once typical of the whole Lower Hron area
