Malá nad Hronom (Kicsind)

South of the ‘Isle of Love’, this charming settlement along the Lower Garam has been inhabited for a long time: even relics of mammoth hunters and stone stones have been found in its vicinity. For water lovers, this part of the Garam has a calmer flow, offering ideal conditions as the canoes glide almost by themselves. The rapids, rocky islands and bends are interspersed with rapids all the way to the confluence of the Garam and the Danube. There are also small vineyards, with cellars bordering the neighbouring Kéménd Iszomfalva wine cellar. The Roman Catholic church of the Holy Guardian Angels is located at the highest point of the village, built in the neoclassical style.
