Zebegény

The population of Zebegény, at the foot of the Börzsöny, on the left bank of the Danube, is around 1200, but triples in the summer. Zebegény is popular with hikers in winter and summer. In the summer, the shade of the vast forests or the shores of the Danube make the heat more bearable, and in winter, walking through the snow-covered forests and mountains, you can reach many of its sights and attractions. A small settlement in terms of population, it has a lively community life. Throughout the year, there are plenty of leisure activities and events to attract tourists. It is one of the centres of cultural life along the Danube, with a great open-air beach on the Danube.
