I. Esztergom Market

Market shopping is easy to get carried away by those who try it once. After all, there’s nothing better than buying locally grown, local, chemical-free and packaging-free goodies.  We start our gastro programme at the Esztergom Local Farmers’ Market (2500 Esztergom, Simor János utca 26 – 32.). Esztergom Local Farmers’ Market is a really special place if you want to buy local vegetables or artisan cheeses.

Among the unmissable attractions of Esztergom we recommend the following:

Basilica of Esztergom

Primas Cellar – Szent István square 12, +36 33 541 965

II. Dorog – M&M Quail and Rabbit Farm, Mrs. Miklósné Csontos

Throughout our lives, the quality of the food we put on the table has always been an important aspect, so we strive to be self-sufficient in the ingredients we need for our family.
At our premises we offer our guests farm eggs, as well as ready-to-cook quail and rabbit meat.

III. Kesztölc

At the foot of the Pilis mountains, in the immediate vicinity of Esztergom and Dorog, lies Kesztölc. Grape and wine production was a decisive factor in the life of the village as early as King Géza I. donated vineyards to the Abbey in Hronský Beňadik.

The cellars and wine press houses carved into the hillside are still an important part of the village’s landscape.

And it’s not just the view that has been preserved: in recent decades, the village has been revitalised, with more and more local producers, including winemakers, cows, beekeepers and fruit growers.

Our gastronomic offer:

SZIVEK Winery

GYÖRGY SZIVEK, GYULA SZIVEK AND PÉTER SZIVEK

“Wine, landscape, experience, heart…”

Young dynamism, traditional values. Our aim is to show the complexity and richness of the region through our wines. We are a small family winery. We have been involved in viticulture and winemaking for generations. We have the knowledge and experience of our grandfather.

Warm hospitality “Here you will always find peace of mind!”.

In the winter, a crackling fire and the glowing embers of a small stove warm you in the press-house, while smoked sausages smell above your head.

In summer, sunset with a kettle in the vineyard, far from the noise of the city. Here you can always leave the worries of everyday life behind.

ERIKA confectionery – Kesztölc

Local flavours, fresh ingredients, friendly service, wide selection.
During our culinary adventure we warmly recommend the Erika confectionery in Kesztölc, where they prepare a wide variety of cakes and pastries, which are blended with a variety of flavours. In the words of Erika: “I love local products, I am a regular customer of milk curd, nuts, honey and yoghurt. Because my principle is to give only the good to the people.
